This Hadrosaur dinosaur egg is from Xixia Basin, in the Henan province of China. This dinosaur egg dates back to the Cretaceous period, making it 70-135 million years old. Hadrosaurs are also known as "duck-billed" dinosaurs and are distinguished by their very long skulls that end in a broad expansion. They were herbivores and lived mostly on land, but were able to swim and escape from predators. They walked on two legs, frequently dropping to all fours. Hadrosaurs cared for their young after they hatched. This egg is a well-preserved specimen.
